About the PTO

Since we are a public school, you may be wondering why it's important to contribute to PTO fundraising. Your support plays a crucial role in enhancing the educational experience for all our students. The PTO raises funds to supplement the public dollars Edison receives and sponsors events throughout the year to connect our larger community beyond the classroom. This year’s annual PTO budget was approximately $150,000, or $600 per student. PTO funding directly benefits our school, helping to provide resources like supplies and technology, programs including after school activities and athletics, and opportunities to support our staff or pursue special projects that enrich our learning environment and promote student success. By participating in PTO, you're investing in the future of our children and ensuring that they have access to the tools and experiences they need to thrive. Your generosity makes a real difference, and for that, we are incredibly grateful.

The Edison PTO mission is to aid staff in their efforts to educate all Edison students and bring together the far-flung families that make up the school. We can achieve this by building a supportive community of parents, staff and students through fundraising efforts, hospitality and family events.

Edison PTO is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that serves as the fundraising and hospitality arm of Edison. We raise funds to supplement the public dollars Edison receives, and we sponsor community-building events to give Edison's student body and staff a chance to connect outside of the classroom. By supporting each other and having fun doing it, we can continue to enhance the educational experience for current and future Edison students.
